Staff at Modern Anxiety Solutions

Lauren Neaman, PsyD, A-CBT

CLINIC REPRESENTATIVE TO NSAC:
Lauren Neaman, PsyD, A-CBT: I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois and Florida, and a Diplomate with the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (A-CBT). I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Colgate University, and my Doctoral degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a concentration in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). My postdoctoral fellowship was at NorthShore University Health system where I focused on working with adults with OCD and other anxiety disorders.

I served on the Board of the National Social Anxiety Center (NSAC) for many years, serving as Co-Chair for two years. I have presented several times at national conferences on topics related to social anxiety, OCD and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Staying current on the latest clinical research is extremely important to me, and I am active in professional organizations and local consultation groups.

Since 2010, I have specialized in treating adults with OCD and anxiety disorders using ERP and other evidence based treatments such as ACT and Mindfulness. I am also passionate about working with clients with insomnia and have advanced training in CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I) from the University of Pennsylvania’s Behavioral Sleep Medicine training program.

I enjoy working collaboratively with my clients to meet their treatment goals, while also incorporating humor and warmth. I value and appreciate my role in supporting clients to create more meaningful lives and making progress towards symptom reduction as effectively as possible. I work flexibly with clients based on their needs and perspective, and believe that therapy is not a one size fits all process. I provide exclusively virtual therapy to clients located in Illinois and Florida.
