NOTICE: Individual psychotherapy is provided over secure telehealth. Social anxiety therapy groups are both in-person in Alexandria, Virginia, and over telehealth.

The Parent and Child Treatment (PACT) Center for Anxiety & OCD is a specialized practice dedicated to helping children, teens, young adults, and their parents address anxiety and OCD, including social anxiety and other related conditions. Our collaborative approach is grounded in highly-effective evidence-based treatments, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and supportive parenting for anxious childhood emotions (SPACE) for parents.
Whether you’re a young adult looking for your own treatment, or a parent seeking guidance for yourself or your child, our process is designed to help you understand the symptoms clearly, set personalized treatment goals, and achieve lasting, meaningful change. Services are offered via telehealth in Virginia, Massachusetts, and all PSYPACT eligible states.

CLINIC REPRESENTATIVE TO NSAC:
Taylor Wilmer, PhD ABPP: Dr. Wilmer is a licensed clinical psychologist who is board-certified in Behavioral & Cognitive Psychology. She specializes in treating children, adolescents, and adults with social anxiety disorder, and she also has expertise in providing guidance for parents of children with anxiety. She is a highly-trained exposure therapist with specific expertise in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for social anxiety disorder, and she has delivered this treatment in university, hospital, and private clinical settings.
Dr. Wilmer also has extensive research experience, with a particular interest in the cognitive and emotional underpinnings of social anxiety disorder and how such factors influence comorbidity with mood disorders, such as major depression and dysthymia. She has co-authored 11 peer-reviewed publications, 2 encyclopedia entries, and 15 conference presentations and symposia on social anxiety disorder and related conditions.
Dr. Wilmer earned her undergraduate degree in Psychological & Brain Sciences from Dartmouth College. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Temple University under the mentorship of Dr. Richard Heimberg, an internationally-recognized expert on social anxiety treatment. She completed her clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at McLean Hospital where she provided intensive exposure-based CBT for children and adolescents with anxiety disorders. In 2022, Dr. Wilmer joined InStride Health, a high-growth startup dedicated to improving access to high-quality treatment for youth with anxiety and OCD. Across multiple clinical leadership roles, she oversaw the therapist team, co-authored their treatment guide, and supported hundreds of families nationwide.
In 2025, Dr. Wilmer founded the Parent and Child Treatment (PACT) Center for Anxiety & OCD. Looking to merge her passion for high-quality care and clinical innovation, the PACT Center offers the latest evidence-based treatments for children, teens, and young adults with anxiety, OCD, and related conditions. Dr. Wilmer has particular expertise in working directly with parents to teach them effective strategies for supporting their child with anxiety or OCD.
Dr. Wilmer is licensed in Virginia, Maryland, DC, Massachusetts, New York, and Pennsylvania. She is authorized to practice interjurisdictional telepsychology in many other states by the PSYPACT Commission.
