The Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Institute of Southern California (CBTI) offers the most cutting-edge, scientifically-tested, short-term therapy for adults, adolescents, and children, focusing on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) principles.

CLINIC REPRESENTATIVE TO NSAC:
Paul DePompo, PsyD, ABPP is a clinical psychologist and the founder of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Institute of Southern California. For more than twenty years, DePompo has utilized a straightforward approach to successfully treating adults and adolescents with short-term therapy methods that provide long-term results. As an expert in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), DePompo identified a need for evidence-based treatments that could be effective for his clients so that they could not only feel better following a session, but that they would have the best possible outcomes long after therapy ends.
DePompo is Board Certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is a Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, and an Associate Fellow and Supervisor in REBT-CBT (rational emotive behavioral therapy) at the Albert Ellis Institute. He teaches REBT-CBT and parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) at various graduate schools in Orange County, and was trained in PCIT by the UC Davis, CAARE Team. He attended NYU while earning his bachelor’s degree, and earned his master’s and doctoral degrees at the California School of Professional Psychology.

Cassandra Moore, LMFT specializes in CBT, parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), and comprehensive behavioral treatment of tics (CBIT). She provides individual, family and group therapy to treat a variety of disorders including ADHD, mood disorders, Tourette/tic disorders, defiance, eating disorders, and anxiety disorders. Cassandra has more than 9 years of experience treating children 2-8 years old and their families with PCIT. Cassandra is certified in PC-CARE through the UC Davis CAARE team and CBIT through Tourette Syndrome Behavior Therapy Institute (TS-BTI). Attending the University of California Irvine, Cassandra received her bachelor’s of arts in both psychology and social behavior. Cassandra went on to receive her master’s degree in clinical psychology, specializing in marital and family therapy through the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Misa Butsuhara, LMFT is a highly experienced and compassionate therapist specializing in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), with notable expertise in comprehensive behavioral intervention for tics (CBIT), as well as the treatment of anxiety, depression, anger, and couples’ issues. She is the co-author of the impactful self-help books How I Kicked My Tics and The Other Woman’s Affair, the latter based on her original research. Misa works effectively with children, teens, adults, couples and families, drawing upon her extensive clinical background in dual diagnosis treatment within psychiatric hospitals, major alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers, and trauma facilities. Utilizing an evidence-based approach, Misa is dedicated to empowering clients to achieve their therapeutic goals.
