NSAC Montgomery County, Maryland, also known as The Snow Psychology Group, LLC, specializes in providing compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling for children, teens, adults, and older adults. We have expertise in treating social anxiety and other anxiety disorders, as well as depression, OCD, trauma, grief and loss, and relationship challenges. Our experienced psychologists are committed to creating a welcoming, judgment-free space, and we tailor our care to your unique goals, strengths and experiences.

In addition to individual therapy, we offer couples therapy and affordable group therapy options to give you flexible ways to find the support that fits your needs. We proudly serve Montgomery County, Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia, with in-person services at our Rockville / North Bethesda office, as well as secure telehealth appointments. Our licensed psychologists are also authorized to provide telehealth services in over 40 states for convenience and accessibility.

Selena Snow, PhD

CLINIC REPRESENTATIVE TO NSAC:
Selena Snow, PhD: (she/her) Dr. Selena Snow is a licensed psychologist in the state of Maryland and is also authorized to provide telehealth services in over 40 other states.

Dr. Snow earned a BA in psychology from the City University of New York and graduated Summa Cum Laude with honors in Psychology. She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology in 1999 from the University of Maryland where she was admitted to the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Internship training was completed at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Snow has also completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship for advanced training in clinical psychology and extensive post-graduate training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and treating obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) with exposure and response prevention (ERP).

Currently, Dr. Snow is the founder and Director of The Snow Psychology Group, LLC, a private practice in Rockville, MD. Therapists at the practice work from a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) orientation to help patients make changes in their patterns of thinking and behavior so they can feel better, cope more effectively, and move forward towards their personal goals.

Dr. Snow strongly believes in volunteering to serve her community and her profession, and has served on the Board of Directors for various organizations, including the Maryland Psychological Association (MPA). Dr. Snow is frequently invited to speak on a variety of mental health topics and is often interviewed and featured in the media to share her expertise and insights.

UPCOMING IN-PERSON & ONLINE THERAPY GROUPS
AT NSAC MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MARYLAND

The Snow Psychology Group is currently accepting referrals for our in-person therapy groups at our Rockville, MD office. These time-limited groups can be a cost-effective way for teens and adults to learn evidence-based treatment strategies and gain peer support.

Teen Girls Managing Emotions and Relationships: This 12-week in-person therapy group is intended for high school girls who are struggling with depression, anxiety, emotion dysregulation, and relationship difficulties. The group will focus on learning evidence-based tools and strategies as well as fostering peer support from the group process. Group meets on Tuesday evenings, 6-7:15 pm and is led by Dr. Natalia Vallejos, an experienced licensed psychologist. More information about Natalia can be found here.

Skills Building Group for Teen Guys: This 10-week in-person therapy group is intended for high school guys and meets on Wednesday evenings, 6-7:15 pm. The group focuses on developing skills for managing depression, anxiety, and frustration while learning social effectiveness strategies to navigate interactions with confidence. The group emphasizes building motivation and overcoming procrastination and avoidance to achieve personal goals. Teens will practice strategies to face fears. enhance resilience, and learn mindfulness and stress-reduction techniques. The group is led by Dr. Brandon Goldstein, an experienced licensed psychologist. More information about Brandon can be found here.

Everyday Mindfulness Skills Group: This 12- week online therapy group is intended for young adults and adults of all ages to learn and practice mindfulness skills. Mindfulness has been shown to reduce stress, decrease self-blame, help cope with chronic pain, improve sleep, and enhance mood. The group meets on Tuesdays from 12-1:15 pm and is led by Dr. Tamara Levin, an experienced licensed psychologist with advanced training in mindfulness. CBT Group for Depression and Anxiety-an ongoing online therapy group for adults struggling with social anxiety and/or depression to gain peer support while making changes in your patterns of thinking and behaving to live life based on your personal goals and values. The group meets on Thursday mornings from 10-11:15 am and is led by Dr. Selena Snow, an experienced licensed psychologist.
