NSAC Asheville / Western North Carolina, also known as Strive On Counseing, is located in the heart of downtown Asheville in the historic Self-Help Building. We also offer telehealth sessions to anyone in the state of North Carolina. We specialize in evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and other mindfulness-based therapies.
We help clients who are looking for compassionate and down-to-earth therapy to work on issues like social anxiety, OCD, generalized anxiety, depression, life transitions, ADHD, stress, and trauma. We love providing clients with concrete tools and strategies that they can use outside of therapy, while also going deep in sessions to get to the root of the issue.

CLINIC REPRESENTATIVE TO NSAC:
Mike Comparetto, LCSW, A-CBT is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been a practicing therapist since 2015. He is credentialed by the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies to provide CBT, and also uses other related evidence-based practices such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), EMDR, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based therapies.
Mike is the founder and director of Strive On Counseling, a group psychotherapy practice serving Asheville and the Western NC region since 2019. Strive On has 6 therapists with various backgrounds and areas of expertise. Mike specializes in anxiety and OCD, and has worked in various settings, with many different types of people and challenges. He custom tailors his approach to every individual who walks through the door. He is passionate about both the science and the art of therapy, and works to balance the two.
